  1. Hi Gentlemen,
Congratulations upon choosing a wonderful way to spend your Break. To help in the process of giving a family a home is a key step in ensuring a hopefilled future for all members of that family. It addition to what you accomplish with the hammer, etc., your very presence there is message of encouragement and solidarity.
    God Bless you.
    Love,
    Nick & Marcia Mendola,
    Taylor Potter's grandparents

  3. Pat Freeland here. Remember me, the one who did a swan dive off the ladder on Thursday? I write for two reasons, first to commend you all for the sacrifice you made for the benefit of your fellow human beings. Your enthusiasm, your efforts, and your apparent calmness during my brief stay at the bottom of the basement steps before I was whisked off by the amulance makes you men, not boys, in my mind.
Second, I wanted you to know that after all that, I am OK. I have a nasty bunch of bruises on my arms, my head, and my hip, and still have a concussion, the main implication of which is that I get very sleepy several times a day. I have almost no memory of the incident other than flailing as I descended from the ladder. I do remember bits - like the ambulance siren as we raced through traffic, the quick attention at the Hershey medical center, having my clothes cut off (all of them) and thrown away, and then my family coming in to my recovery room about three hours after my fall.
Whoever it was who held my head at the bottom of the steps, thanks for your concern and your quick and sensible response.
If any of you ever come back to our area I will finally give you the tour of the furnace which I guarantee you will find very interesting despite its possibly dull description, and would love to meet with you and your families. I can direct you to lots of sights and sites around here. It's a great summer trip. Contact me at pfreeland@comcast.net if you ever head this way.
Thanks and God bless you all.
    Pat
